My Leadership Values

There are several values that I believe are important to success as a leader. I lead with these non-negotiable mindsets.

Honesty and trust

Team trust is like the glue that holds a group together—it makes people feel comfortable sharing ideas, working together smoothly, and supporting each other, ultimately leading to a happier and more productive team.

Keeping our customers in mind, including external and internal customers

Keeping our customers in mind is essential and should be a guiding light, as it ensures that we prioritize their needs, foster strong relationships, and consistently deliver products or services that not only meet but exceed their expectations, leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Valuable work that pushes our business forward

Being able to delineate work and valuable work and the “why” we are doing the work is something that we should all understand. Knowing our customers and systems is important to me that all partners on my teams understand.

Outcomes over perfection

Perfection is unattainable. Moving forward is more important. Incremental value is better than big bang.

Self-motivation and infinite learning

Doing the right thing without being told or asking, and continuing to learn how our business and our systems.

Passion

Passion can’t be taught, but is there when all the elements of the team are like a well-oiled machine. I value that we all feel this way, and all of the puzzle pieces need to be in place for it to exist.
